Number of students studying in Ukrainian language in the annexed Crimea decreased by 150 times, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva reported on Facebook.

By 2014 on the territory of the Crimean peninsula were located 660 Ukrainian schools. In total, almost 13,000 children studied in Ukrainian, and more than 2,000 in Crimean Tatar.

According to the Ukrainian representative, since 2014 the number of Ukrainian schools in the occupied Crimea has decreased by 87%, and the number of students studying in Ukrainian has decreased by 150 times.

“Formally, only one Ukrainian school remained there,” the Ukrainian representative noted.
