Public organization «Rule of Law» is suing Poroshenko through Tomos

According to Radio Svoboda Kyiv District Administrative Court accepted the claim of Public Organization «Rule of Law» to the President Ukraine Petro Poroshenko over provision to Ukrainian church Tomos.

«The plaintiff asks court to establish absence of competence of head of state to interfere in activities of church and religious organizations, in particular by signing and forwarding an appeal to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for provision of Tomos about autocephaly of Orthodox Church in Ukraine, which was later supported by Verkhovna Rada Ukraine by the relevant resolution», the statement said.

It is known that the court has already opened proceedings on this case. The preparatory meeting will be held on November 13.
