Oleksandr Tkachenko appointed new Minister of Culture of Ukraine

The people’s deputy from the Servants of the People party Oleksandr Tkachenko became the new Minister of Culture of Ukraine. This decision was made by deputies at today’s meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

Mr Tkachenko resigns as the people’s deputy: this decision was supported by 299 people’s deputies, and his new appointment was supported by 263 deputies. After that, Tkachenko took the oath of a member of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Since 2008, Oleksandr Tkachenko served as CEO of the 1 + 1 media group. In 2019, he was elected as an MP from the Servant of the People party being No. 9 on the list.
