Deputy Foreign Minister Olena Zerkal has claimed her intention to leave the office. She said this in a show at 24 Channel.
Zerkal noted that she has been planning to do this for a while.
“This week I will fulfill my final task – I will hold the hearing in The Hague under the new arbitrary, which concerns our naval ships detained last year and held in Russia, and our sailors. And that’s it, as I promised,” Zerkal emphasized.
She explained her decision with a desire to take a break, as well as other specific reasons.
Zerkal also added that she could not resist Russian agression, being a diplomat at the Foreign Ministry, which implements the decisions of the president.
Zerkal: It is unlikely that we will be able to keep the sanctions and isolation of Russia.
