The Federal Court of the Central District of California refused to collect from Ukraine more than $ 50 million in favor of the Olympic champion in figure skating Oksana Baiul. This is reported by gordonua.com.

Since 2015, the US has been considering the lawsuit Oksana Baiul to the state of Ukraine, media manager Joseph Charles Lemire, the Delaware Corporation Olympic Champions Ltd and the corporation from the British Virgin Islands Olympic Champions Ltd.
The Olympic champion declared that the defendants had violated the principle of trust and honest business practices within the framework of the employment contract with her, and also transferred the rights to use her name, popularity and biography to non-involved third parties.
Baiul allegedly did not receive a proper profit for these operations. The court found her demands groundless. According to the data of the ProZorro public procurement system, the Ministry of Justice paid $ 339.8 thousand (about UAH 8.8 million) to the international law firm Holland & Knight LLP for protection in court.
Recall, in 1994, at the age of 16, Baiul won at the Olympic Games in the Norwegian Lillehammer.
