Parliament approves law on admission of foreign troops to Ukraine for exercises

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for bill No.3003 “On the approval of the decision of the President of Ukraine on the admission of units of the armed forces of other states to the territory of Ukraine in 2020 for participation in multinational exercises.” This was reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the bill, foreign troops were allowed to participate in exercises in Ukraine.

“The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved the law on the admission of units of the armed forces of foreign countries to the territory of Ukraine in 2020 to participate in multinational exercises on training the units of armed forces: Ukrainian-U.S. Exercise Rapid Trident 2020, Ukrainian-Moldovan Exercise South 2020, Ukrainian-U.S. Exercise Sea Breeze 2020, Ukrainian-Romanian Exercise Riverine 2020, and Ukrainian-British Exercise Warrior Watcher 2020,” the report says.

The law comes into force from the day of its publication.
