The Ministry of Health will provide free PCR testing for patients with planned operations, the Health Minister Maksym Stepaniv said.
“All patients, with no exception, who will be hospitalized in connection with the planned operation will undergo PCR testing first and will be required to self-isolate for 2-3 days. After that they will be hospitalized. There is a very clear algorithm. I emphasize that PCR testing will be free. We will do this so that our citizens will stay healthy,” Stepanoiv said.
According to the minister, the government allowed conducting planned operations during quarantine at its meeting on May 4. According to the head of the Ministry of Health, now the most urgent operations are related to cardiac and oncological areas.
