Nancy Pelosi was re-elected as Speaker of the US House of Representatives, by a slight margin, reported by CNN.
Pelosi received 216 votes, while Republican rival Kevin McCarthy received 209 votes.
Of those present at the vote, only five Democratic congressmen did not support Pelosi.
Pelosi was Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011 and returned to that office in 2019 when Democrats again won a majority.
