The day before, on August 10, during a rally near the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Kyiv, a group of men violated law and order and did not react to the demands of law enforcement officers, the National Police reports.
Five protestors were taken to the Shevchenko police department, where, after a check, local police officers drew up administrative materials under Article 173 (petty hooliganism) and 185 (malicious disobedience to a lawful order or demand of a police officer, member of a public formation for the protection of public order and state border, serviceman) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Offenders face the fine from eight to fifteen tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or community service for a period of forty to sixty hours, or correctional labor for a period of one to two months with a deduction of twenty percent of earnings, or administrative arrest for up to fifteen days.
