Poland should receive the first vaccines against coronavirus in January.

Poland plans to start vaccination of the population immediately after receiving vaccines against coronavirus infection, said Polish Vice Minister of Health Waldemar Krasko. It was reported by Polish Radio.

He noted that the exact date of receipt of vaccines will depend on the date of their approval by the European Medicines Agency and on the supply of manufacturers.

“At the so-called zero stage, it is necessary to vaccinate primarily medical personnel,” said Krasko.

He added that the older population was also among the first to be vaccinated. Vaccines will be available at clinics, hospitals and mobile vaccination points.

The Polish Ministry of Health is convinced that the vaccines will be safe.

“All the procedures that need to be followed during vaccine production in terms of their effectiveness, safety and quality have been preserved. All three clinical phases of vaccine trials were also passed. These vaccines went through the same procedure as the flu shots,” added Krasko.

However, he warns that the rule of wearing masks in public places will continue. In addition, vaccinated people will have to comply with it.
