Poland appoints new foreign and health ministers

Current head of the Polish Sejm’s foreign affairs committee, Zbigniew Rau, was appointed as the new head of the Polish Foreign Ministry. This was announced by the head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, Ukrinform reports.

“Some time ago, after the resignation of Minister Jacek Czaputowicz, we offered this position to the chairman of the Seimas Foreign Affairs Committee Zbigniew Rau,” the statement reads.

According to Morawiecki, he coordinated the candidacy of the Minister with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

In addition, Adam Nedzelski, the head of the National Health Foundation (NFZ), became the Minister of Health.
