Poland denied enter for almost 25k Ukrainian citizens in 2020

In 2020, the Polish border service did not allow 24,600 Ukrainians who tried to enter the country. This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the response of the border department to the relevant information request.

Compared to 2019, the number of refusals to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border has more than halved: from 60,112 to 24,617.

In addition, in 2020, outside the checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, Polish border guards detained 121 people (for comparison, in 2019 – 158).
