In Budapest, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz stated that he agreed with Hungary on need to overcome “deficit of democracy in the EU”. About this reports Polish Radio.

It is reported that Foreign Minister of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz stated his statement during a diplomatic meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó in Budapest.

“Poland wants a strong, efficient, democratic European Union. In this context, we agree with our Hungarian partner – we need to deal with the lack of democracy in the European Union, with the limp of the decision-making process, and also focus on solving problems that are important for societies. I mean the migration crisis. Today we came to the conclusion that our assessment and position on these issues is similar,” said Czaputowicz.

According to Polish Foreign Minister, the EU is at an important stage in its history, since after the elections to the European Parliament a new discussion will begin on the budget framework and the future of Europe.
Czaputowicz also noted that changes in the EU are necessary, and Poland advocates strengthening the economic competitiveness of the EU, maintaining a single market, and developing neighborhood policy in the eastern direction and in the direction of the Western Balkans.

Earlier “Journalist” reported that Poland had expressed a note of protest from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
