Warsaw wants to send Polish specialists to conduct exhumation work in the village of Guta Penyatskaya in the Lviv oblast and other places, where people died during the Volyn tragedy in 1944. This was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, tvn24 reports.

“In this situation, we expect that the exhumations will end with Christian burial and with correction made to the information table at a place of honor, located near the Polish place of memory. But first of all, we expect that the Ukrainian side will give Polish specialists opportunity to participate in exhumations in Guta Penyatska and all other places where remains of Poles are,” the statement of the Polish Foreign Ministry said.

Recall, the Polish Embassy in Ukraine sent a note of protest to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine regarding the information table in Guta Penyatska which content untrue information about the events occurred in 1944. The document also says about the inscription on the place honoring the Ukrainians who died in the village 20 km far from Guta Penyatska, which refers to "tortured by Polish chauvinists and Soviet partisans." Warsaw stressed that such words "cast doubt on the policy of good-neighborliness and unity in relations with Poland, declared by the Ukrainian authorities."
