According to Evropeyskaya Pravda, Portugal has announced new quarantine measures to contain the coronavirus, which will affect the 121 commune out of 308 in the country.
From November 2, residents of certain areas are required to stay at home and work remotely if possible. Shops and restaurants should close by 22.00.
“If nothing to be done, the rise in infections will inevitably lead us to a situation where our health care system will stop working,” said Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa.
The measures will be reviewed in two weeks.
