The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional UAH 550 million for emergency repairs of the Kyiv-Chop and Kyiv-Odessa highways, the Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan posted on Facebook.
According to Omelyan, such a decision was a reaction to the "fair people’s indignations".
It is noted that Ukravtodor will complete the survey of these routes this week and will immediately proceed to the emergency repair, as well as to current repairs after weather conditions allow.
"The government approved the allocation of funding from the Road Fund, which this year amounts to UAH 50.1 billion," the minister said.
