It is reported that the President of Paraguay, Horacio Cartes, resigned before his term ends in order to take his place in the Senate of the country.
Constitution of Paraguay says former president automatically become senators for life, with a voice but without a vote. Horacio Cartes won a full Senate seat during last month’s elections so he decided to resign the presidential post.
As «The Journalist» earlier reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine negotiating on visa-free regime with the countries of Latin America. The first in the list is Uruguay.
