The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine requests setting UAH 0.5 billion bail for the ex-deputy chairman of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, now owner of the Insider media outlet, Oleksiy Tamrazov.

Thus, the Prosecutors are asking the court to cancel the resolution of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv and to remand Tamrazov in custody or to set alternative UAH 577 million bail.

The Prosecutor Alexander Govorushchak justifies this amount by the fact that Tamrazov, being deputy director of the company Ukrgazvydobuvannya, allegedly participated in fraudulent activities with liquefied gas and received personally a profit totals UAH 577 million, causing damage to the State for a similar amount.

In turn, Tamrazov’s defense asks the court to overturn the decision of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv and do not apply any preventive measure for Tamrazov.

As The Journalist reported, the Kyiv court dismissed the ex-manager of Ukrgazvydobuvannya Tamrazov for UAH 20 million bail.
