Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov has said that the Committee on Agrarian Policy will hold almost 10 more meetings on the issue of land reform, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to Razumkov, the consideration of amendments to the land reform bill should be completed by January 10, 2020.
“Given the number of proposals in the bill No.2178-10, I give an order to the committee on agrarian policy to hold a meeting of the committee on December 26, 27 and 28, 2019. And also on January 2, 3, 6, 8, 9 and 10, 2020,” the speaker said.
Razumkov also added that during this period the committee will process amendments to the law on the turnover of farmland.
As The Journalist reported, Zelensky proposes to concentrate no more than 10,000 hectares of land in hands of one operator.
