The head of the Servant of the People party Dmytro Razumkov has said that the return of Donbas region and the Crimean peninsula, occupied by Russia, to Ukraine is not the matter of laws.

Razumkov noted that the establishment of peace in Donbas is one of the key problems for Ukraine.

“This is one of the key problems for the country. We all would like peace to be restored, so that Donbas and Crimea are returned to Ukraine. Unfortunately, this is not solved by laws,” the politician said in an interview with the Russian newspaper Kommersant.

Razumkov spoke about the possible compromises, in particular, about the special status of Donbas.

“This is the legislative part. This point will obviously be discussed in the Verkhovna Rada, but war is not a matter of law. It is a matter of desire. The desire to end this war. The Ukrainian side has it. Unfortunately, not all participants in this process have this desire,” Razumkov emphasized.

To the head of the party, “this is the matters of diplomacy, sanction pressure, issues of domestic policy related to the fight against corruption, information policy, economy, infrastructure, social policy.”

“This is a whole range of tasks that will need to be done and which will make it possible to quickly return the temporarily occupied territories,” Razumkov said.

As The Journalist reported, Razumkov told about coalition agreement and start of new parliament’s work.
