Red Cross sends more than 50 tons of humanitarian aid to occupied Donbas

Three trucks transported building materials headed to Donetsk.

The International Committee of the Red Cross sent three trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the non-governmental controlled part of Donbas. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on Thursday, June 4.

The trucks followed the path from Kyiv to the Donetsk and entered occupied territory through the Novotroitske checkpoint.

“The humanitarian aid was sent to civilians who live in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and were affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation,” the statement reads.

Border guards declared over 53 tons of cargo. The cargo also included hygiene products and medical supplies.
