Russia illegally persecutes 115 people on political motivated accusations in annexed Crimea – Denisova

At least 115 people are illegaly prosecuted by Russia on politically motivated accusations. This was reported by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, Lyudmyla Denisova, on Facebook.

According to Denisova, 40 Crimean Tatars stay in the custodial settings in the Russian territory; 32 people kept in penal institutions in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and 15 people were released conditionally, they stay at the places of their residence in the territory of the Crimean peninsula.

Denisova noted that the Russian Federation is replacing the population of the peninsula with its citizens: more than 140,000 Russians were relocated during the occupation.

Denisova also expressed hope that, thanks to international pressure and increased sanctions against Russia, Ukrainians will be able to regain freedom.

As The Journalist reported, 15 Crimean Tatars are transferred to Crimea from Russia.
