Italian Civil Aviation Authorities (ENAC) granted Ryanair with temporary permit to operate flights between the cities of Italy and Ukraine, according to the ENAC website.
The permit was approved on March 3 and will be in effect until July 13, 2020.
Ryanair is allowed operating flights to Kyiv from Bergamo, Bologna, Rome, Catania; to Odesa from Rome, Bergamo, Bologna; to Lviv from Rome, Bergamo, Bologna, and to Kharkiv from Bergamo.
However, it is currently unknown whether Ryanair will launch flights before the end of quarantine. Flight restrictions have been introduced in the EU and Ukraine due to the spread of coronavirus.
Ryanair managed to obtain a permit for operating flights from Italy to Ukraine after the bankruptcy of the Italian low-cost Ernest Airlines. The Italian regulator posted information about the tender for routes to Ukraine on February 24.
