The restoration of the Hribovichsky landfill in Lviv Oblast, and the construction of a waste recycling plant in Lviv can be completed by the end of 2021.
This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadoviy at the launch ceremony of an information campaign in support of the project for integrated management of the solid waste landfill in Hribovichi.
“We expect that the plant will work at full capacity in two years,” UNIAN quotes the Mayor of Lviv, as saying.
In general, the project of solid waste management in Lviv includes four phases – the rehabilitation of the landfill in Hribovichi, the construction of a mechanical and biological waste processing plant, the waste management process in accordance with the national strategy and the creation of a new regional engineering landfill.
It is planned to complete the rehabilitation phase and construction of the plant before the end of 2021, and by the middle of 2021 the technical part will be ready. The plant will recycle 250,000 tons of waste per year.
