Yesterday, October 17, the Junior World Championships started in the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau. The gold medal for Ukraine won Ukrainian athlete, Daria Bilodid,17. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine on its official Facebook page.

«Daria Bilodid conquered the world again. The Ukrainian judo wrestler have left no chance to the Japanese Sana Yoshida in the finals of the weight category up to 48 kg, and won gold at the junior world championship, which takes place in Bahamas. We congratulate Daria and her parents, coaches Svitlana Kuznetsova and Gennady Bilodid,» – the message stated.

More than 400 athletes from 67 countries of the world joined the championship.

On September 20, the 17-year-old Ukrainian won gold medal at the Junior World Judo Championships, which was held on the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku (Azerbaijan). In the Junior World Championships 2018 in the weight category up to 48 kg, Bilodid defeated Funu Tonako (from Japan) and became the youngest world champion in history,» – Ukrinform reported.
