Uzhorod schools are closed for quarantine

On Monday, January 28, quarantine was declared in Uzhorod schools due to increased incidence of ARVI and influenza. This decision was made at a meeting of the anti-epidemic commission in the Uzhorod city council, reports the press service of the city Council.

It is known that in the last week in Uzhorod 1037 cases of accessing doctors for URTI have been reported. Comparing the data with the previous week, incidence increased by 32.6% which is 50.7% higher than epidemic threshold.
Among the cases, mainly children under the age of 17 years – 619 people (59.7%), which is 99 more than last week (520). The growth rate is 19.4%.
However, incidence has increased among adults – 418 people. There is an increase in the percentage of incidence of adults (from 33.5% last week to 40.3% on the current).
The percentage of hospitalized is 15%, most of them children.
Classes in schools are scheduled to resume after the stabilization of the epidemic situation.
Kindergartens will continue to work with certain restrictive quarantine activities.
Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 33 cases of laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of seasonal influenza A, including one case of influenza A + B, have been recorded by express methods among city residents.

Previously, the "Journalist" reported that 25 schools were quarantined in Kyiv.
