Slovakia, Czech Republic recall ambassadors from Belarus

The ambassador of Slovakia was recalled from Belarus due to the latest diplomatic demarches of the official Minsk and the European Union. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Ivan Korcok.

“I decided to recall the head of our mission in Minsk for consultations as a sign of solidarity with Lithuania and Poland. The steps taken by the Belarusian authorities against other EU countries are unacceptable,” he stressed.

In its turn, the Czech Republic also decided to recall its ambassador to Belarus, Tomas Pernitsky, for consultations. This was announced by the official representative of the Czech Foreign Ministry Zuzana Stichova.
