Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denysova notes the importance of pressure on the aggressor state for the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners. According to her, now the enemy holding 251 political prisoners.
“Let me remind you that now 251 Ukrainian citizens remain in the enemy’s torture chambers in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Their release is the most important task for all competent authorities involved in this process,” reads the message.
She stressed that she would continue to work to free fellow citizens who are illegally imprisoned as result of Russia’s armed aggression, and called on the international community to act together.
