Some 475 Ukrainians are illegally detained in Russia

In total 475 Ukrainians are being illegally detained in penitentiary institutions on the territory of the aggressor country. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea says that the forced transfer of convicts and political prisoners to the Russian Federation continues. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office on its Facebook.

“To colonize the peninsula, the Russian Federation resettled to the Crimea, according to various estimates, from 172,000 to over 500,000 Russians. The forced transfer of convicted and political prisoners to the Russian Federation continues. Currently, 475 Ukrainian citizens are being illegally detained or held in penitentiary institutions on the territory of Russia,” the message reads.

At the same time, it is specified that similar violations are committed against orphans and children deprived of parental care, who also illegally move to the Russian Federation, including through illegal adoption.
