Some 56 Ukrainians in Lebanon applied for financial assistance

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during an online briefing said that 56 Ukrainians have applied to the Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon for financial assistance in connection with the damage done to their homes and body in the result of Beirut explosion.

“As of yesterday evening [August 12 – ed.] the Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon received applications from 56 Ukrainian citizens regarding financial assistance in connection with the destruction of their homes and minor body injuries,” the Foreign Minister said.

According to Kuleba, the embassy has already paid such assistance to 16 citizens of Ukraine.

Note that the death toll from the explosions in Beirut reached 171, more than 6,000 injured, 300,000 people were left homeless.
