SpaceX company has successfully tested the Starship spacecraft, which is planned to be used for flights to Mars. Starship SN6 model tests took place at a complex in Texas (USA), SpaceX reports on Twitter.
The second flight test of the Starship was successful.
“This was a 150-meter test flight,” the message reads.
In August, the Starship SN5 (fifth production test vehicle) with a single Raptor engine made its maiden flight at 150 meters. The previous four (Mk1, SN1, SN3 and SN4) were destroyed in earlier stages of testing. It is expected that both prototypes – SN5 and SN6 – will make several more such short jumps in the near future.
