The cyber security specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection will be on duty round the clock to prevent interference with the information resources of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Oleksandr Turchinov, the press service of the NSDC reports.

“A round-the-clock duty will be organized by cybersecurity forces of the SBU and State Service for Special Communications, aimed at identifying, preventing and suppressing any unauthorized actions against the information resources of the CEC,” said Turchinov.

In the near future with the support of the European Union will be held joint exercises in order to work out various cyber-interference scenarios modeled for better and effective responding to cyber threats.

“The available information indicates the intentions of the Russian Federation to use the entire existing arsenal, inclusively, with cybernetic tools to influence the democratic will of the Ukrainian people,” Turchinov said.
