U.S. urges Venezuelan army to abandon Maduro

Open source
The United States of America authorities do not leave attempts to convince members of Venezuela’s military to abandon Nicolas Maduro, Reuters reports.
According to the White House officials, some Venezuela’s soldiers have already refused to support Maduro. However, there is little doubt that the Trump’s administration has laid enough groundwork to spur a wider mutiny in the ranks where many officers are suspected of benefiting from corruption and drug trafficking.
Also, the source reports on US intentions to introduce new sanctions against Venezuela to put pressure on Maduro.
As The Journalist reported, hundreds of thousands of protesters took to the streets in Rome.
