Vice President of the United States Mike Pence said that Washington would soon impose additional sanctions against Venezuelan leaders and increase assistance to the Venezuelan people, CNN reported.

“We hope for a peaceful transition to democracy but President Trump has made it clear: all options are on the table,” the report says.

The United States will impose sanctions against governors of the three border states and one official close to Nicolas Maduro, who are involved in the use of weapons in response to the opposition’s attempt to deliver humanitarian aid.
In addition, Pence called on the international community to take measures to support opposition leader Juan Guaido, including freezing of the assets of the state-owned oil company Petroleos de Venezuela.
Pence added that the US will allocate another USD 56 million to neighboring countries to help them cope with the flow of migrants from Venezuela.
As The Journalist reported, Mike Pence met with Juan Guaido.
