The State Tax Service of Ukraine plans to reduce the number of scheduled business inspections by 20% in 2020 against the previous 2019, but at the same time improve their quality.
“The number of scheduled inspections will be 20% less than in 2019,” Serhiy Verlanov, head of the Tax Service, said.
The number of inspections will be reduced due to the introduction of a risk-based approach. As for the riskiest sectors, the head of the Tax Service noted that the department “analyzes this issue, and the results of the analysis will be visible in the audit plan”.
Mr Verlanov also added that most unscheduled inspections will relate to VAT refunds, as its stipulated the law.
“Basically, we reduce the number of inspections and improve their quality,” UNIAN quotes the head of the Tax Service, as saying.
