On March 27 and 29, the premiere of play “Verba” based on the drama-extravaganza “Forest Song” by Lesya Ukrainka will take place on the stage of Ivan Franko Theater.

“Verba” in Latin means “words”, “language”, “text”, “words of a song”, “manuscript”, “hail” … and phonetically it absolutely coincides with the Ukrainian word “willow”. Verba is the home of the main character of the play – Mavka.
Famous Ukrainian film and theater director and artist Serhii Masloboyschikov presents his vision of the famous work of the poetess. Actors Kristina Fedorak and Oleksandr Begma were chosen as Mavka and Lukash.
