The Tokyo Stock Exchange halted trading in all listed stocks for a full day, AFP reports.
“Trading in Tokyo Stock Exchange has been suspended due to disruptions related to the delivery of market information,” the statement reads.
Trading was stopped at GMT 23:35. As a result, Nikkei 225 and Topix could not start trading. It also affected trading on other Japanese exchanges (Sapporo and Nagoya).
