US President Donald Trump appealed to Washington’s partners in Europe to ‘take back’ hundreds ISIS fighters captured by American forces during operations in Syria.
The corresponding entry Trump posted on Twitter the day before, on February 17.
“The US is asking the UK, France, Germany and other European allies to take back 800 ISIS militants, captured in Syria, and bring them to court. The caliphate will soon fall. Otherwise, nothing good will happen – US will have to let them go free,” Trump said.
According to the head of the United States, Washington would not want jihadists to flood Europe.
“We do so much and spend so much resources. Now it’s time for others to connect and do the work they are able to do,” Trump added, confirming in conclusion that the US military is leaving Syria.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen expressed her fears that the defeat jihadi group of the Islamic State could lead to the emergence of a global underground terrorist ISIS network.
As The Journalist reported, 23 people have already been detained on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist attack in Kashmir.
