Rudolf V. Giuliani, the personal lawyer of US President Donald Trump, is planning to visit Kyiv in the coming days and meet with President-elected Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the publication The New York Times, Giuliani intends to convince Zelensky to continue the investigation, which can provide new information on two cases in which Trump is interested.

One such case is the investigation by Special Prosecutor Robert Muller about the alleged Russian interference in the US election. The second is the connection of the son of former Vice-President Joseph R. Biden Jr. with the Ukrainian gas company.

“We do not interfere in the elections; we intervene in the investigation to which we are entitled. There is nothing illegal in it. Someone may say that it is wrong. And this is not foreign policy – I ask them to conduct an investigation, which they are already conducting and which other people advise them to stop. And I intend to give them a reason not to stop it, because this information will be very helpful to my client and may be useful to our government,” said Giuliani in an interview with the publication.

Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that Donald Trump will propose the approval of the Senate candidature of the head of the Pentagon.
