CEC: 89 people wanted to register as a presidential candidate in Ukraine

Central Election Commission of Ukraine has completed the reception of documents from those wishing to become presidential candidates, the newspaper Ukrainian News reports.

According to the Central Election Commission, documents were received from 89 Ukrainians who, in one way or another, intended to register as a candidate for post of the head of state.
The commission members noted that 39 applications were still in the status of consideration, 28 candidates were already registered, and 22 were denied due to incorrectly executed documents or non-submission of compulsory collateral in the amount of 2.5 million UAH.
