Turkey has officially announced that military exercises in the Mediterranean would take place until September 11, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Office of Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography of the Turkish Naval Forces.
“The shooting exercises will last until September 11,” the message reads.
According to NAVTEX, the Turkish Navy will hold shooting exercises on September 1-2 in the Mediterranean Sea, and indicated four shooting coordinates.
Recall, Turkey’s attempts to conduct research in the Eastern Mediterranean, near the island of Castellorizo, led to significant tensions in relations with Greece.
