The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleksiy Kucher, and the general director of the Turkish Airline’s office in Kharkiv, Alper Kashikchi, discussed the further development of air transportation and the implementation of new social projects, the press service of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration reported.

Among many things which were discussed, was raised the issue of increasing flights from Kharkiv Airport.

“We are now increasing the number of air travellers. This year, passenger traffic increased by 40%,” Oleksiy Kucher said.

Alper Kashikchi noted that the company is monitoring the statistics of the Kharkiv International Airport and this year, together with the airport, it celebrated the transportation of a millionth passenger.

“We celebrated this together because this millionth passenger had the opportunity to be on our flight. We also plan to increase the number of our passengers to 100,000 next year, and at the same time we will be happy to ask Ukraerorukh to increase number of our flights,” Alper Kashikchi said.

During the conversation, Oleksiy Kucher also expressed the wish that Turkish Airlines continue to implement social projects – in particular, to provide discounts on tickets for children of social categories.

“Last year we supported children traveling to Albania, we are very open to cooperation in this direction. We will always be happy to talk with you and your team,” Alper Kashikchi replied.
