The authorities in the city of Nuremberg (Germany) declared an emergency state and evacuated people after an unexploded Second World War bomb was discovered in the city, FAZ reported.

A 250 kg bombshell with a fuse was found in the west part of the city, in the Hefen area. Eight thousand people – residents of areas in the south of Nuremberg and neighboring Fürth – were evacuated within a radius of 1000 m. Sappers detonated a bomb. No one was hurt.
As for now, the emergency state in the city has been lifted.
As The Journalist reported, sailor pictured on symbolic end-of-Second World War photo has died.
