Uganda postpones G77 summit over coronavirus

Uganda has postponed an international G77 summit over fears of coronavirus outbreak. This was reported by the Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations, Adonia Ayebare.

“Due to the coronavirus pandemic and in coordination with the G77 member states, the Third South Summit, which was to be held on April 16-19, 2020, was postponed to a later time,” the message says.

The forum will be held this year, but the exact date has not yet been determined.

INFO: The G77 group includes developing countries. The purpose of this association is to promote the economic and political interests of its members at the UN.
