Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov at a briefing hold on May 17 said Ukraine was admitted to the European Union Health Committee as an observer.
“The other day we received a letter from the European Commission, Ukraine was admitted to the European Union Health Committee as an observer,” Stepanov said.
He stressed that this is an extremely important event for Ukraine, since the Committee includes all the leading EU countries.
The Committee examines respond to the spread of coronavirus in a particular country, and the EU as a whole.
“I’m sure it will only benefit Ukraine and our healthcare system,” he said.
