Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, Trade Envoy Taras Kachka wrote on his Facebook page to which countries Ukraine exports Christmas tree ornaments.
“Ukrainian Christmas tree ornaments today provide a festive Christmas mood in 27 countries,” he said.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Netherlands is the largest importer of Ukrainian Christmas tree ornaments. Its market accounts for 34.1% of the total export of Christmas tree ornaments from Ukraine and 56.2% of EU exports.
Other popular exports destinations for Christmas tree ornaments are Poland, Germany, Belarus, and Switzerland.
Deliveries of Christmas tree ornaments over the 10 months of 2019 increased significantly compared to last year’s period to Latvia (2.9 times), Georgia (2.4 times), Moldova (2.3 times), Romania (2.1 times), the USA (2.1 times), and Italy (1.9 times).
In just 10 months of 2019, the supply of products for the New Year and Christmas holidays amounted to USD 7.5 million, which is 7.7% more against the previous year.
Kachka also added that new markets were opened in Austria, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Serbia and the Cayman Islands.
