The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has said that residents of the occupied territories in Donbas are not paid their wages for refusing to obtain “passports” of the so-called “Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics” (“DPR” and “LPR”).
“The Russian occupation administrations are increasing pressure on residents of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts who do not intend to renounce Ukrainian citizenship. In particular, the heads of individual enterprises do not pay wages or reduce wage size on workers who have not obtained the so-called ‘republican passports.’ At the same time, the occupying administrations claim workers could enjoy streamlined Russian citizenship, if they have the so-called ‘DPR/LNR passports,’ the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reports.
Also, servicemen of the Russian occupying forces from the local population are given the right to obtain Russian citizenship in an extraordinary order, as well as a discount on payment.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine reports one WIA amid 6 enemy attacks in Donbas on Jan 30.
