Ukraine intel: Russian command force obliges militants in Donbas to obtain Russian citizenship

The Russian command is forcing all militants – members of an occupying forces to obtain Russian citizenship, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, said citing data from the Defense Intelligence Directorate.

Thus, the Russian command ordered to the personnel of the formations and units of the 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Luhansk) army corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation about the obligation for all military personnel to obtain Russian citizenship.

At the same time, the leadership of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation imposes additional restrictions on the intersection of the border with Russia (non-controlled by the Ukrainian government). First of all, restrictions apply to persons related to the occupation administrations or serving in the ranks of the Russian occupation forces and the so-called security forces of “LNR/DNR”.

This category of persons are able to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border only for a business trip purposes, preliminary informing the Russian side of the time, place and purpose of the trip. If such persons attempt to travel to the RF at their own will, they are thoroughly searched at Russian checkpoints, after which in most cases they banned to enter Russia.
