The militants equip their firing points in Donbas with the Okhota (Hunting) non-contact explosive devices of seismic impact.
This was stated by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Maksym Prauta, referring to the General Intelligence Directorate.
According to Prauta, the command of the Russian occupation forces is increasing the density of mine fields at the frontline positions of units and formations of the 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Lugansk) armed corpuses of the Russian Armed Forces, including their rear areas.
“At the same time, they are intensively carrying out engineering works on the additional equipment of the firing points; within separate sections of the mining site the enemy lay OZM-72 fragmentation barriers with a non-contact seismic explosive device, NVU-P ”Okhota”. Their installation is associated with increased danger and requires a high level of the personnel training, that is why only the personnel of the RF armed forces is involved in laying mines,” the speaker said.
