Ukraine introduce state regulation of prices for food for period of lockdown

The government introduced state regulation of prices for goods of important social significance and anti-epidemic purpose for period of quarantine.

This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

In April, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to stabilize prices for important social goods and measures provide for temporary state regulation of prices for these goods. The relevant decision entered into force 10 days later, on May 18.

In particular, state regulation of prices applies to the following products: buckwheat, sugar, premium wheat flour, domestic pasta, pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2.5 percent, rye-wheat bread, C1 category chicken eggs, poultry (chicken), non-carbonated mineral water, butter with a fat content of 72.5 percent.

Also, the state regulation of prices applies to antiseptics, disinfectants, a number of medications, and so on during quarantine.
